The goal of this course is to increase awareness and understanding of racism as a complex, multi-layered system of inequity. Participants will examine the color-coded brand of racism from the beginning of the age of exploration to modern times, and through in-depth analysis of the various layers operating in case studies, develop strategies on how to become antiracist so that we can address racism and eliminate it in the workplace, our communities, and in the world. In this course, we will put the concept of Allyship into action and think of ways to support disempowered groups.
